i forgot ...i meant to paint a picture full of whirly gigs...and flashing lights...i forgot....too busy painting my dogs and a picture i took up in Gatlinburg a couple of years ago!!!OOPSSSS..so you will just have to settle for this maggie art title page from my last moleskine...darn i better paint one now for the next time i hit 2000:> three years may be plenty of time to get to 1000 BUT it will be here before we know it!!
Now where is that bottle of Dom Perignon we have been aging for an appropriate event...this MIGHT be it.:> WAIT its only 8 am!! TOO early...well maybe we will drink it another day!
i have been doing a wc of the dogs...it was a mess yesterday afternoon...charleys face was all wrong...its much better today...still does not look quite like him...its hard to get him to look this way...he always wants to look at you when you snap your fingers instead of to the right...oh well:> BYTW they are both very fat jack russells...and old very old 12 and 16! No longer teenagers but much loved family pets...

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 1000th post!
ReplyDeleteLove the watercolors here - inspiring as always :)
HI Maggie - I really like your watercolors! I had to leave a comment when I saw your JR's. We have 3 jr's....and went for a walk 2 weeks ago, came home with one more! Trying to find a home for her, tho. But our 3 have also been painted - they say, paint what you love.
ReplyDeleteThe swath of green grass - I like the dark value of it alot - so if it still bothers you, maybe add some of the red from the barn roof? Really like the bright sunshine on the closest tree.
thanks for sharing, Johnni
Congrats on a 1000. Time sure is fun when you are having flies.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 1000th post!!! I think a catered reception is in order or something. I just did my 2205th post on livejournal ( not all of them memorable) and the torture I dish out is likely to be unending... see if you can catch up with me ;)
ReplyDelete1000 posts, incredible! Félicitations!
ReplyDeleteThe two paintings are great. The dogs are sweet and the blue background make the whole picture beautiful.
And as a special present I just awarded you the Arte Y Pico award. Yours for the taking, and if you choose to accept it, the picture and rules are on my blog :) Hows THAT for a 1000th blog post special? ;)
ReplyDeleteMe again... I sent you this same award too :) It's also on my blog - Rachel already said the rest!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 1000th! That's a lot! Hey, someone forgot to mow a strip by the garage and truck! It looks great really. The dogs are cute. Second blog tonight where someone said there dogs are fat. Guess they are just like people - more and more of them are gaining too much weight. Cute picture of them.
