Chrismas cards

Inspired by my good friend Margaret Wesley...the other margaret as we laffingly call each other....i have been doing watercolor Christmas cards inpired by something about the recepients life....almost everyone in my family has a dog or two or even three....and the dog cards are mostly going to them...though Bella has asked for a few for her fans and her Bff who incidently happens to be the next door neighbors two labs...a black one named Lulu and a yellow one named Polly....so bella will have to deliver at least one of these next door;> She told me she would also want to send one to some of her fans....

These are all watercolors done on Kilamanjaro watercolor paper from cheap joes...makes nice heavy cards...the tassels are made by gathering scraps and snips of yarn and fabric and tying them onto the card with a shiny piece of ribbon or in this case yarn...would you believe the USPS guy said my tails would jam up thier machines so i had to stick the first one i mailed in a plain jane manila envelope...hopefully the card will make up for that right?

so for some reason i seem to be stuck on making high heels....they are just fun to do...most of these cards are done with Caran D'ache Neocolor i accented with my absolute fav water color pencils...Faber Castell...but i am getting ready to get out some of that Daniel Smith gold and pearlescent WC paint i had to have to add to these:>

My Nephew and Nieces three mops...Que TIp, Mocha and Bella mi mi...is that right?...i think this is my fav card...love the watery quality of it...

a lab in a rocket for a space freak member of the family who has had a long history of labs...Bella is an obliging dog but she did NOT pose with a wreath around her neck...this is my fav one of her...you should try sometime to do a coal black dog in WC...not the easiest thing to do!

iAnd yes theres a third one of these...all different...we have aLOT of lab lovers in our family and among our friends...!!

OOPS you said wheres Jazz...shes coming along soon I promise...maybe with a stocking cap since she will NEVER let me put a scarf on her like you know who will...she used to rip clothes off our other JRS when I dressed them up....but she cant do that on a card can she:>

HOHOHO back to work...gotta get these done today...no more procrastinating...
