So i just did jazz this morning while she was snoozing on the back of a quilt...love that fabric on the back of this quilt...which is the side shes snoozing on.... i had fun playing with the shadows on this one...i dont know if you can see them..they are all brights like lime, turquoise, and yellow and then a lilac with a bit of blue violet to sharpen the eges of the shadows....fun stuff...felt like i was degas:>

I decided to experiment and use the stitch feature to get rid of the seam in the picture...now shes an even shorter fatter dog...lol...this is the last reiger painting ...they are going in the ground till fall in just a little while...had to wait till it got hot out to dig in the dirt...my bad....pen and ink on hmmm whatkind of wc paper...dunno right now...daniel smith...the pigma pen as bleeding for some reason or other...who knows why...i used salt on the background...liked that effect very much...and alot of quin pink...no I am NOT going to spell that word...but it did make a yummy purple...

This is a picture i painted for a friends birthday today...its of her two pitbulls wilbur and charlotte. I found the picture of them while i was surfing her blog a while back and thought that would clean up to be a great painting or cp sketch for kim for her birthday. She loves her babies like crazy..her furkids...

Is anyone ever satisfied with thier work...I started to do some more to this today...but decided wrap it and leave it...the brown dog Charlotte...could have been redder I think and i really dont like what i did to the deck...its too heavy handed i think ...needs some white showing thru...but at 1 in the morning...welll mistakes get made:> and overall I know she will love it...so thats what counts right??

the view out his apartment window...everywhere you looked there were paintable views in the city...you could just put a stool down kerplunk and turn out a great painting...this would have beeennn better if it were larger and painted when i drew it...same goes for drews painting above...

ok so this is another mothers day offering...I drew ever watchful jazz on the her perch on the back of the sofa...she will tell you shes one of my kids...my furkid:> she loves a quilt...all my quilts are jack russell approved:> Happy Mothers Day to all the furkids moms too:>!!

May tenth...

how many more days are left??? I was actually freaking out today thinking i had left this sketch at work...and my moleskines...thinking HOW can i go a WHOLE weekend without them..heading to graduation...aka hooding in law school tomorrow...and didnt want to have to go and pick all THREE moleskines up..the kids were "reading them" today...this is in my small wc moleskine...After school i taught a couple of the kinderkids how to draw people and they really did a stellar job...wish i had brought them home to scan for you...these kids drawings are really outstanding...even compared to older kids in the school....

This is a sketch of the wiggle worms wiggling waiting for lunch...finished it up while i was supposed to be at lunch..drawing is much more slimming than eating:> Watercolor in my small moleskine...they are sitting on a bright primary colored rug waiting for everyone to finish washing up for lunch...drew the figures first and then the background...when they had left for lunch...the three little girls in this picture have turned into quite the artists...drawing loads of pigtailed girls...with butterflies and flowers...the fifth graders would LOVE to draw like they do!
