knitting like crazy

and here is just a little of it. Unlike when i buy fabric for some reason i feel that i MUST knit up all the yarn i buy... I am quite happy to let the fabric pile up BUT NOT the yarn...guess one bad habit is enough? ...I have made a good attempt at it...I have knitted at least twenty scarves mostly given away as Christmas presents or birthday presents....the purple mohair and metallic one and the yummmy hand dyed silk one yellow and pink are for my mom...same pattern but oh so different in these two different yarns...

the two on the right are actually MINE! one is noro silk garden the red one and the other is some more hand dyed silk ...yummy stuff...

A fourth one that I started Friday nite is enterlac knitting ...squares from two shades of purple noro yarn 188 and 148...yummy shades of purple and green...I DO Love those colors...its going to be felted when it is done...work up to yesterdayPROGRESS PROGRESS ...I am on the sixth or seventh row now...and they are starting to shrink

AND with a few more projects to come....as well as some of the yarn for the enterlac purse...i had to buy some more to use up the yarn i had...yuuummmmyyy NORO yarns...with a few Cherry Tree Hills peeking out...

So you thought i was sewing...

WRONG...BEEN knitting...taking a break from the endless sweater which i meant to blog BUT didnt...been knitting up these NORO varigated scarves...some will be presents some are hmm mine!!! I get to pick my fav right to keep???

The two on the left are made of Noro Kureyon (hand dyed wool) and the two on the right are from Silk Garden which is silk and wool...I LOVE the color of the two on the right best BUT there are more to come....the one on the left is good too but dont like that BRIGHT green...odd color...

OH about the yarn...it looks like it is hand spun...as if they take say an ounce of green and an ounce of brown and spin them together...where there is a color change you can see the two wrap around each other...strange...means it was dyed BEFORE it was spun...NOT after!

IN the narrow version it appears to be almost modular knitting but its the normal color change of the yarn....lovely stuff noro is...now if i just had some
