Box elder again! watercolor #2

hhmm did i say i love to paint once I get started??! this is my watercolor of the box elder with a little augmentation from prisma white colored pencil and an ink pen...maybe one day I will remember to leave the white highlight... Posted by Picasa

As some of you may know I have been intrigued with the box elder and its flowers...there are at least ten of these trees by the lagoon in our neighborhood covered with these ballerinas...they dont seem to change a bit...the leaves are bigger and starting to show but the flower anthers seem to stay the same....the old lagoon is really an old rice paddy from when this was a working rice plantation...this is my watercolor of the box elder with a little augmentation from prisma white colored pencil and an ink pen...maybe one day I will remember to leave the white highlight...
