Everyday in May...sketching my kids

this is a #2 school pencil sketch of my youngest son Drew while he was home this weekend from Atlanta for Mothers Day...I liked this sketch in pencil so much that i left it and set it with fixative ...looks JUST like him and was worried i would ruin it!! It was supposed to be a watercolor but i thought i had enough unfinished sketches to paint without messing this one up!!!

He was reclining on his girlfriends knees on the sofa watching a movie..I wish i had thought to draw Leeanne first but that did not occur to me till i was TOO far gone...shes coming to visit tomorrow...I HOPE if i get it done...

.spent alot of time this weekend drawing and painting...although they are not done....

I know EXACTLY what you mean... I managed to capture my daughter the other day and was so worried the likeness would 'disappear' that I just stopped messing with it ;)

Great job!

I've got a few ink sketches that I was going to color but was afraid I would mess them up by trying to paint on them. I like your drawing as is. I am thinking that pen and pencils sketches are just fine without color or rather black and white are colors. I do have a couple drawings I am going to do another version in paint. First, our new and improved software has to get fixed so that it works. got to love computer programmers...not.
