what i have been up to....

I drew these during a meeting on a piece of bright orange paper with a bic mechanical pencil...interesting how the camera photographed the color isnt it? ...the sketch of the person was on the well she didnt know i was drawing her...and it really looks like her...i cant believe it because of the way i was drawing it...a foot away and not really looking at it...

I drew some of the teachers keys...everyone was ready to go...a meeting the last afternoon before a holiday!

This is a pic of bad kitty ...hes posing out on the back deck. I think hes really guarding the food from the other two cats so theirs is on the front porch! He does have certain talents...he keeps the other two cats from yowling all day long at the den sliding glass doors...

And today I AM going to make a turning twenty quilt out of this pile of fat quarters that i got from hancocks...need one for a present for a friend for Christmas and I think these are great...hmmm thats if i can give them away!! :> I have this separation problem...I cant get give away a quilt i have just made....,i have to let it age about six months.

I too always need to doodle or draw during a meeting so I don't zone out! Great sketches. I especially like the line quality of the portrait. Did she see the final drawing?

Love the bad kitty, and the drawing is super! Just finished my first turning twenty...my second quilt. I am going to machine embroider some of the fabric before I quilt it...after my hip heals.

Get that hip a-healing! I hope you document your quilt in progress on your blog and share links with us on EDM!

Great sketches - I love seeing pages in your sketchpads too - you are quite talented. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilt you make from those fabrics - I have some of those same ones and am stumped (as usual) about what to make of them!

I can't believe you have a bad kitty too! I have one of them - she is ALWAYS where she is not supposed to be.
