The apple challenge
The finished product so far...white spot on the right needs to go I think? What do you think?
I have been working on this apple challenge off and on for quite a while...a couple of weeks...
I first drew it with a grey derwent wc pencil...to see if the lines would disappear after I used wc on it...they did:> And I think the apples turned out great! However I was not at all pleased with the fabric. I had used a deep blue napkin and it overpowered the apples when I was done. This is the original wc...doesnt look so bad now...oh well...and then i cropped it...
SO I painted the napkin out with white acrylic paint. Then I rewatercolored it...with Derwent wc pencils...the folds were getting tooo dark so I blotted them with a kleenex and i like the funny effect it gave... I am thinking the white spot on the right behind the apples still needs to disappear...what do you think?

I love your explanation of how you got to where you are. I do love the funky folds better and agree that that tiny white spot should go.
Then you can frame it!!
OH MY GOSH, MAGGIE!! THESE ARE FANTASTIC!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! COLORS,SHAPE, SHINE .. GLORIOUSO! I'm not sure what white spot you're referring to -- if you mean the shin spot -- maybe making it smaller? I JUST LOVE THEM, Maggie!!!!
I'm just loving these last few posts! The apples and the elephants are reallly fresh and lively. Intersting combination of colors in the apples.
