is letting me blog some more...she was too busy painting socks and watering plants and chasing silly dogs around....
She said shes going to make me another friend in a minute out of these socks...darn its gonna be another guy...looks like a general to ME!!! i need a girl friend....these are socks that appeared last weekend...leftovers in the laundry....and an old green pair of moms....dont you think she should make a green meanie out of those...she could paint it chartreuse or bleach it with a bleach pen...
now these pretty socks definitely have girly possibilities...they were painted with setacolor diluted with water...some were soaked in it...some were painted with a big brush...and one even got stripes...and theres one that is lacy.....so maybe i will get some girl friends out of these dont you think???
She turned that one sock inside out because one time she dyed 750 socks (with the help of some Asheville quilt guild members) for the North Carolina Quilt Symposium when it was at Black Mountain and they were only cotton on the inside...DONT you love to get donations...NOT...ANYWAY she said those polyester socks had the most gorgeous insides...so she turned this one inside out and started with it inside out..
BYTW she said to tell you that she took pics of the impatiens just because you needed some eye candy and they were next to the table where the socks are drying....isnt she thoughful!!!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO Veronica

Hey Maggie! I've lost touch with you lately - running around like the proverbial chicken with it's head cut off..I just spent an enjoyable few minutes perusing your latest blog posts you've been busy as always! Your latest people sketches are great, and I'm always impressed with your fabric art. And what a beautiful view of the river from your porch.....
