Play day at Illes/cave paintings???

WEll it was just Ille and I and there are more pictures on my internal memory as soon as I figure out HOW to get them off of that ...oh and find the usb cable.... i hid it from myself...

Anyway this is another page started for the star gaze tome. I cut the nana stamp and Ille cut the dolphin stamp and they both worked great. This is really the first stamp either of us has cut out of the stamp block material so we were astonished at how easy it was....scroll down to the bottom of the post to see a good pic of the stamps...
Dont you think these look like a cave painting??? This is how they were made:

This page was first painted and gotten very soggy and then coated with Utee...dont ask me how many coats...then you ink the stamp in the same kind of ink you use for embossing and stamp the utee while its hot...you get an impression of the stamp....but of course we could not leave well enough alone...we then had to add some silver utee to them and heat it up till it bubbled....then i stamped them again with black and used some of the waxy paints like treasure gold on them to give the nanas some glitz...we had a blast but it gave me a slight headache. Dont think breathing Utee in is a good thing...

It still gets covered with velvet and gets a pocket and a doll....and then theres the back...we also dyed our silk velvet...will save that for later since its still downstairs in the trunk of the car...

So we had to stamp it on everything we could find. Ille had a box of a jillion note cards that she and her dil had bought for something else so we played with the embossing stuff after we did the book page. I also wrote a haiku to go with the nana cards....a quicky one...Dance sing Nanas joyous in the garden
