Turning twenty again and again and

Kaffe Fassett and Martha Negley(Rowan fabrics)
well you get the picture.....I am doing these to use up some of the fabric I thought I had to have so there is a wide range of them...my favorites are done out of the Rowan fabrics...AKA Kaffe Fassett and Martha Negley and a few Amy Butlers...they are all done from my stash...and destined for presents IF I get them quilted...so far only one of the four is approaching that status...its actually pinned... I dont know what it is about quilting...I love it once I get started and dont want to do anything else but its just the getting started...
Moda seaside fabrics...a delicate worn out look...hard to photo and its huge queen sized

Kaffe Fassett and Martha Negley(Rowan fabrics)-nine blocks down and 27 to go....they will be done this afternoon...this quilt sews up in seconds...started cutting it out yesterday about 3 oclock....

Another observation...funny thing about these turning twenty again or turning twenty quilts-two different patterns...they seem to be popping up everywhere at the quilt stores and I know why...a good looking easy to do quilt...I saw that at the Batiks Etc booth at the Asheville quilt show and noticed Carol Britt is teaching a class on it...They have them kitted at People Places and Quilts and sell the book with some great examples of what it can be at Piece Gardens which is the shop that got us started on them. Theirs are very artsy ...really they are ...go check thier website if you dont beleive me...all done from KF or Orientals...yes next an oriental to use up some of that big pile ....Barely made a dent in my KF pile...woe is me...

So where can you buy Kaffe Fassett and Martha Negley...all of the above have them and goodness gracious what was in the window at Waechters silk shop...you guessed it that lovely red chard that Martha Negley did...like Waechters does not have the yummiest fabric in the south east...non quilt type...silks brocades dress cottons...and the mother load of all Kaffe Fassett and rowan fabrics....www.gloriouspatchwork.com...you can even get pajamas in their fabric....who knew???
And this one is just because...I walked by it where it was hanging up...it has more stuff but could not get far enough away from it to take a better picture of the WHOLE quilt....improvisational piecing funnnn stuff....

Those Turning Twenty quilts are lovely! Are those a type where you stack a bunch of fabrics and then cut and swap pieces?
