Summer fruit

Bought some strawberries and blueberries yesterday for my son to feed into the ever whirring blender for smoothies with EWUUUU WWWW whey...he drinks them round the clock...
Painted in my moleskine wc tablet with DS WC....I scraped some of the highlights into them with the box cutter....all purpose tool!
I think this one needs a shadow under it...I was just trying out layering colors on the back of another sketch with this one...but it turned out pretty well i think...i actually was patient for once and let the colors dry in between instead of adding more color while they were wet...

I have NO idea how you did this (besides the box cutter trick which I think is really clever!) Those blueberries look so real and the texture on the strawberries is like velvet. They're amazing.

Your fruits are very real and luscious.

I'm trying to make a habit of walking away from a painting while it dries, no matter the size. The urge to fiddle is deadly, and there's always something else to do rather than watching paint dry.

Very pretty - your patience paid off. I do that too with watercolor - I just can't keep my hands off it until it dries sometimes. these came out great.
