One more go at the fish challenge

Since others were posting some of their older fishy stuff...i thought why not post this.

Well you have to admit there are ALOT of fish on this wall quilt....hardly a quilt...really fiber art...I made this a couple years ago...and it has been all over the place in juried exhibits...chiefly the International quilt festival in Houston...always tickled when something of mine is there...its like being in the Kentucky Derby...only i never care if i win...just glad to get to be in it!!

It was also at the Batiks Exhibit at the New England Quilt Museum and was the featured quilt on the show cd cover....i thought that was too cool:>

Raw edge applique, thread painting, hand dyed fabrics and batiks...

This really is perfectly gorgeous! I am anxious to know more about how you did this. Where do you have it hanging? It is just wonderful and deserves many blue ribbons.

As a long time quilter, I can appreciate this lovey work - and definitely like watercolor on fabric. You will Win but I understand the joy of just being there!

Awesome quilt! It must take a lot of patience to put one of these together.

I love this! It reminds me soooo much of one of my favorite Dr. Seuss paintings: 'The Joyous Leaping of Uncanned Salmon'
