Happy Valentines and my FIRST blog giveaway!

Leave me a comment and I will mail one lucky person one of these valentines...you can write the message in it!!

And the winner is Linda Minton...had a friend pick a number between 1 and 22 the number of comments on my blog and she picked 14...Linda!! Congratulations....Stay tuned I have alot more stuff to give away!!

For some reason i decided to make valentines this year...could be all the painting and the pretty papers...All but one of these is made from some of that deliwrap paper I painted a week or two ago...who knew it was so much fun to paint on deliwraps.

Painted Deliwraps

Deliwraps...what are those you say?? You know the wrappers on your favorite fast food biscuit OR the paper to you use to pick up a cookie or a doughnut at the grocery store...and YES you can paint on them. They are not wax paper...they are translucent with the right colors...FUN stuff!!

The streamers are made from shredding some red and pink batiks...slicing them about 1/4" wide with the rotary cutter with or without a ruler! I probably used at least ten different ones. It's an idea I borrowed from my friend Margaret aka the other Margaret..yes there are TWO Margarets..Margaret Hunt and Margaret Wesley...truly NOT my invisible friend.

Love the painted papers and the valentines you made from them. The blog looks very clean and organized. I like the narrow columns on both sides.

Your blog is great and your work is beautiful. The blogspot link is not referring correctly. You have amazed me that you have kept your blog going so long, so consistently. You are inspiring. I keep changing my mind about my blog.

I love your artwork at the top, just wonderful.
I haven't tried deliwrap yet---definitely want to give it a try especially with transparent paint.
Your Valentines are great, works of art!

I like the use of the music scores. Is this a new blog look or a new or additional blog entirely?

I love the set up of this blog! The banner is gorgeous. I like that you're recycling a common item into art. :)
