Peach Postcards 1&2

Today my father in law asked me if I ever did any art other than quilt art lately ...I used to paint alot of acrylics...and I forgot that I had not sent him any of my fabulous watercolor postcards so I came home and whipped up a couple. One is for my dh when I am in Cashiers next week...shh dont tell...NO he wont read my blog...

These are done on 140 lb watercolor with my NEW Daniel Smith WC I got last week...the colors are just fabulous I think...and I tried to make the colors run together....I think they really look velvety like peaches do...This is the first one I did and this is the second one that I did...I was going to eat this peach as a snack but it was not quite ripe...and then I was going to draw it yesterday but it was boring...course I did not put it up but moved it...it was much more interesting on the side of the plate...and its not easy to match the green of a Fiesta ware plate...but I think I did ok dont you? The green ones are my favorite color.

I like them both but I think you captured the fuzziness better on the first one. I just got some new WCs from Daniel Smith. I'll try them on a postcard. Thanks for the idea.
