Been catching up on EDM challenges &

I thought I was about ten behind but then I realized that I had done alot of them in my Christmas cards: wings, sweets and the spoon in my grid about being sick....so I really only have about 5 to do...oops thats still alot:>

These are the two I did last nite...#89 and 97....I really need to take a picture of the wonderful green McCoy pots my parents gave me for my birthday...the green is incredible! Underneath it is a fun wacky book that my son Ben gave me for Christmas called I like you by Amy Sedaris...a new form of hospitality with fabulous pictures...she even did her self portrait in all kinds of beans...too funny...

Buttons...buttons and I have a long history....as a child my mother gave me cans of them to "sew" together...and I loved it...one of my very first sewing activities in a long career of sewing...I realized when I was doing this challenge that I had been collecting buttons of and on for years....some are new in this grid like the face button but the largest portion of them are old...and a lot are antique...I love expensive buttons at cheap prices...thus the cup which was about a pound of old pearl buttons...gorgeous stuff...and the dime cards from Piece Good bins back in the 80s...and my most expensive purchase...two awesome buttons from Waechters when we were staying at the fabulous Grove Park Inn in Asheville...my husband told me NOT to buy more fabric while I was there...but he gave me $$ to spend...so I bought two very expensive buttons...one this Chinese ivory button and the other a fun cat button made of solid silver...they are both gorgeous....the perfect momentoes of the perfect vacation in one of my favorite towns......

These are both great spreads. I really like how you integrate the words and lovely sketches together.

Oh I love both of these challenges Margaret. They're great. I particularly love the buttons - great layout of the page and love all the litle notes. I like buttons - they evoke memories of sewing with my nanna when I was a kid. Your picture makes me want to go off and do this challenge. Great job!
