First Friday in Augusta GA
Downtown Augusta with crowds of people everywhere...a sight not seen often since the malls open gutting downtown of activity. Its starting to come back...on a weekends or a weekday evening there are still cars in downtown with people walking around...or dining at the great restaurants...my two favs are Bees Knees (Avocado Chop Chop stuffed with Crab) and New Moon Cafe(great lunches and breakfasts)...everytime i am in downtown the architectural details fascinate me...no dates on the buildings but L-R Modjeska Theater now a night club, probably built in the 20s, a detail from the Imperial, and the Marion Building with its fanciful massive sconces.

Bee Knees is one of our regular spots! The Blue Sky took my favorite sandwich off the menu and I haven't forgiven them yet....
