Journal quilts

well will post the journal quilts fast for you...at least some of them....some are still not quite finished...
This year I did fruit of the month....fun....thought I would be like who is it...the Jacob brothers Harry and somebody that sends a box of fruit every month?

They are all raw edge applique, thread painted, and also oil stick, gel penned or chalked depending on my mood when they were done....variety is the spice of life with art mediums as well as fruit...lol

Lemons January...citrus is in season right?

Since my oldest was born on Feb 22 George Washington 's birthday and my dad and youngest son LOVE cherry pies....well how can you have February without cherries?

Wild plum trees bloom here all over the place with thier snowy blooms cheering a gloomy March day....

Well I know peaches are not in season in April but was making a long string of peach postcards in April so why not a peach journal quilt....could be june july and august here too....lol

Tomatoes...the fruit...yes it is a fruit...the fruit of summer to me...nothing better than a BLT followed by a fresh peach with sliced tomatoes on the side.....and there are always plenty of free tomatoes around because every one has too many of them....

Pears...well you know its fall when fresh pears are here....right?
