Box elder

Its identified...official..the lovely dancing ballerina flowers are box elder violaceum and I was right..they are anthers...I remember more of Biology 101 or was it 102 than I had thought. These trees are really twisted and stunted and not lovely like the flowers...I guess these flowers have HUGE anthers. From the Eyewitness Handbook Trees...great little reference book.
