Another birthday quilt done...

Maries birthday quilt is quilted...hot off Lila the long arm!!...We make our friends birthday quilts when they have a significant birthday.

Margaret and Ille and I designing the middle and I did the quilting. Marie is always trying to help people so last year I decided that a Quilt Angel would be the perfect theme for her birthday quilt...and now here she is finally in cloth all done!! Just the binding remains.

Before it was quilted

The center
Quilt minus the borders...we sent out a call for 10 1/2" blocks with a fall theme but not Halloween for Marie's birthday. Along with the call for blocks we sent a list of things about the birthday gilr like she loves pumpkins...and fall leaves..this is what we got back!

The quilting

Upclose shot of the center..I quilted her name in it as well as the words The Quilt Angel. The pictures are a little dark ...no idea why other than the more I take with my camera the darker they get.

Up close shot of the pumpkins' quilting.

Now whose block is this?? I am too tired to remember.

Ille's awesome oak leaf block.

Kay's awesome applique block.

Dana's cute little ragdoll embroidered block

Siobhan's leaf block

Marie loves pumpkins so I did her block with the Tsuniko inks and drew a pumpkin...i do love to color!!

Not the best pic of this beautiful block...Betsy's i think.

Linda Birchall's Hole in the barn door. She did two and evidently I only took a pic of one of them.

Connie's favorite block..another hole in the barn door or Monkey Wrench.

Maureen does love a crazy quilt...

Rachel W's awesome applique oak leaves

Sharons lovely fall shades...hmm what is the pattern? In keeping with our theme I quilted some leaves on it.

Kate does a lot of prayer quilts for her church so she did a prayer block for Marie's quilt.

A leaf...by Connie??

Pam's beautiful batik block.

OK so i cant remember who did this block either...some people need to sign them...

Sues block ...I LOVE this angel...

Hard to see the quilting on the borders which are stripped...its a vine of oak leaves and ribbons

Linda Yehle's favorite block...the card trick.
