Two more sketches...daily drawings continue
the first is really an everyday matters sketch...I found a recipe in a magazine at school during lunch called Tagliatore al Pomodora which more or less translates as tomatoes with spaghetti or tagliatorre which is a little wider than spaghetti. There was an extensive shopping list for the tomato sauce which I bought...ummm the can of tomatoes imported Marzano tomatoes from Italy cost FOUR dollars...and ahhh i need to go back and buy another one...OH well...everyone wants to know how good is this sauce going to be...I will let you know when I stop and get the other can...I think i need another onion too...maybe its onion tomato sauce...but all the colors did make for a great looking sketch...and I wrote the recipe above it so I would be sure nNOT to loose it:>

Wonderful sketch and YES, it IS very colorful.
BTW, it looks like you need 2 more red onions also. I wonder what makes these canned tomatoes so "special." Be sure to let us all know!
Gorgeous, Maggie! AND it makes me hungry. If I bring some wine, can I share the Tagliatore al Pomodora??
WOW! what a feast for the eyes and the tummy. Have "stolen" your recipe in hopes of trying it myself.

Love the sheen on that red onion. Great contrast of colors with the green olive oil.
Maggie -- This is a fabulous page --composition, color, recipe, sketching!!! It would make the beginning of a fantastic recipe book!
Maggie...when's dinner? I'll be right over and bring the bottle of Chianti. This is fabulous! Neat idea to draw a recipe.
Yum!
My gosh, Maggie -- this is an amazing sketch! Your linework is so fresh and vigorous! And the purple onions are fantastico!
;-D
The onions are going to make me dream about purple onions tonight! Amazing, my favorite of all of your stuff. Very, VERY nice work!
