what i have been up to..or why i have made yet another

Turning Twenty Again quilt....

well first theres the quilt that can not be shown...and then theres the video i took of the my show's reception at the Aurum Studio in Athens...thats no where to be found on my camera...dunno what happened to it.the gallery is gorgeous and there were tons of people including Elizabeth Barton and lots of good food and wine...the yummiest hors d'ouevres

...but hey theres this turning twenty...Now you might wonder why I continue to make Turning Twenty Again quilts.....and not something artsy...welllll they are great for using up all those fat quarters we all purchase at quilt shows...and dont you think they breed in the corners of our sewing rooms...

OK so what else is there about a turning twenty??? You can STACK five FQs to cut ...There are only 11 pieces in the block...all straight sewing...even a beginner can make one...

I can sew the blocks up in four hours or so...and a top if i really push it...the wilder the fabric the better they look...make great gifts for family and friends that need a quilt...Connie and i were counting ..this is my ninth or tenth quilt...destined for a gift by Christmas...but for now residing at Quiltshop on the Corner to help promote Amy Butler fabric sales...which it did as soon as it arrived at the shop...another guild member walked out with FIFTEEN FQs of Amy B...YAHOO.....and i can actually notice that that pile of fqs i thought i had to have is going down!!! double YAHOO

oh WHY else do i like to make a TT20 Again?? sometimes i like to sits and sews and thinks and sometimes i just like to sits and sew and sew and sew...and this is that quilt...mindless sewing at its best...produces endorphins ya know!

PS I also call this my quilt in a day!and yesterday i helped sew the guild(Pieceful Hearts) donation quilt blocks together...if you want tickets 85% of the money goes to Camp Rainbow which is a summer camp for kids with cancer i think sponsored by the Medical College of Georgia...every year we give them several thousand dollars raised by these gorgeous quilts...this one is all hand needle turned applique by guild members using Piece O'Cake Pattern Simply Delicous(yes we got written permission!) Tickets will be on sale shortly if you want to buy a chance or two for a great cause...
